Welcome

James Anthis freelancer

One of the reasons I created this website is  to learn more about php. This website is coded with php, using a template system created by www.simplemachines.org.
The behind the scenes (backend) code that makes simple machines work, intrigues me.  The reason I love simple machines is easy, Its FREE! Okay that's not the only reason, the other great thing about it is that it's open source. This means that you can use and contribute to the source code freely.  So this is my playground of sorts being able to edit the php code within this site will help me in my learning of php.

The other reason for this site is to help people out.  I'm sure everyone knows some one who is a computer geek or has one in the family right?  Well, in my family and circle of friends, I happen to be that guy. And I know that alot if not most people could care less about html or php, and just want things to work.

Be it their pc, website, email address,or internet, I always hear the same thing, can't you just fix it for me?  And 99% of the time my answer is yes as  I believe in giving back as people have given knowledge to me saving me hours, sometimes months of a learning curve.  Unfortunately there are not enough hours in a day for me lately, so this community will help in consolidating help issues and allow me to keep up with the work flow I have.

This forum will also allow me to help people when I can't answer instant messages or emails as timely as I would like, now you can post your questions here, and as this is  one my new projects, I will be spending a fair amount of time on here and will be able to respond sooner. You may  find the answer to your questions on one of the forum topics.  I hope that others that Join this community will share their knowledge with the people here. Enjoy!
